Kitapta, “Eski Türk Filolojisine Giris”te, Türk edebiyatinin ilk iki edebiyat dönemi, Köktürk ve Eski Uygur edebiyatlari tanitilmis, bu tanitim çesitli bölümler altinda Eski Türkçeye ait gramer, sözlük ve yazi bilgisi ile birlikte seçme okuma parçalari verilerek desteklenmistir. Türk dili ve edebiyatini tarihiyle bilmek “Eski Türkçe”yi ögrenmekle baslar. Bu siarla, Türk yazi dilinin ilk dönemi, Eski Türk edebiyatinin baslangiç dili, Türk dilinin temeli ve edebiyattaki çikis noktasi olan “Eski Türkçe”, filolojik perspektifte tarif edilmis ve konuyla ilgili temel bir giris bilgisi verilmek suretiyle Eski Türkçenin Türk dili ve edebiyati tarihi içindeki önemli yeri vurgulanmistir.


AN INTRODUCTION TO THE OLD TURKIC PHILOLOGY

In this book, “An Introduction to the Old Turkic Philology”, the first two literary periods of Turkish literature, Kokturkic and Old Uigur literatures are introduced and this introduction with grammar, dictionary and orthography belonging to the Old Turkic is detailed via supporting of selected reading texts. To know Turkish language and literature with its history begins with to learn “Old Turkic”. Hereby, being the first stage of written Turkish language, initiative language of old Turkish language and the keystone and also the point of origin of Turkish literature, “Old Turkic” is depicted in philological perspective. Additionally, in an informative manner, the position of Old Turkic in history of Turkish language and literature is emphasised by related general introduction
